The Creative Academy provides an open opportunity to anyone interested in art. We contribute to the community by providing creative experiences through organized classes and workshops throughout the city. Where there is a need for art education, Chicago Lost and Found is willing to step in and fill the gap.
We’ve instructed classes and workshops with YMCA of Metropolitan Chicago and Hawthorne Scholastic Academy . We also have several new programs to launch fall 2012. We continue to form new partnerships and programs to expand our reach and increase awareness as funding allows.
As the Academy continues to grow, we are pressed to employ a full-time education director to execute ongoing programs as well as constant requests for new opportunities.
Other short-term goals include providing supplies and resources for organizations with art programs in place but suffering from inadequate funding, such as public school art departments with little or no budget. This mindset expands our mission on a much broader scale while allowing existing programs to grow and support the arts.
